Description:
Key Responsibilities: 

Work as part of a team, under qualified supervision, according to process to accomplish the following: 
  • Develop/maintain reports in accordance with style, functional and technical guidelines established. 
  • Develop/maintain queries/views/functions/stored-procedures used by reports according to functional and technical requirements. 
  • Develop/maintain data import scripts and packages for reporting in keeping with functional and technical requirements. 
  • Perform quality assurance testing/validation and documentation for new reports and changes to existing reports. 
  • Investigate and troubleshoot as required to answer questions related to reporting and address issues related to report production, distribution or functionality. 
  • Translate business reporting needs and requirements into functional requirements and proposed technical plan of approach. 
  • Work with your team and stakeholders to assess new report requests and changes, define the requirements, evaluate associated impacts/risks/benefits, prioritize, schedule, build, test, review and implement. 
  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests to assist the business in responding to questions and issues. 
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts targeted at increasing business impact, reliability and efficiency related to reporting and data analysis.

Security Requirement:
  • Applicants must be a US Citizen, and successfully obtaining a United States DoD Secret Clearance is a condition of employment. 
  • Working knowledge of Excel, mathematic and analytic skills, client-oriented approach, self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude, problem-solver, knowledge of key performance indicators, metrics and definitions common to managed services. 
  • This position will require the flexibility of the employee to work shifts starting early mornings (6 AM ET / 5 AM CT) or evenings (7 PM ET / 6 PM CT), with the possibility of some weekend days or holidays required. 
Technical: 
  • Report Definition/Design - Basic 
  • BI data processing concepts – Basic 
  • T-SQL – Intermediate 
  • Data Connections & Feeds (SQL Server, Flat files, ODBC) – Basic 
  • Automation & Scripting - Basic 
  • Troubleshooting – Intermediate 
BI Product Specific: 
  • Business Objects or equivalent BI platform – Intermediate 
  • SQL Server SSIS/Reporting Services – Intermediate 
Help Desk/IT: 
  • BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, HP Service Manager or similar ticketing systems – Basic 
  • ITIL Processes - Basic 
  • Change Management Process - Basic 
  • Computing Environment Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, etc.) or equivalent experience – Intermediate 
Business: 
  • Communication – Intermediate 
  • Interpersonal Skills – Basic 
  • Business Awareness – Intermediate 
  • Attention to detail, time management, innovation, reliability. 
  • Technical skills listed are not fixed. 
  • As new skills are required or useful, training will be made available. 
  • Other technical skills not listed, but already possessed may be desirable.
